Jio Studios has revealed an extensive lineup of new movies and web series, making it the largest slate ever produced by an Indian studio. The company has announced over 100 new projects. Still, only 62 have been teased so far, featuring popular Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, and Randeep Hooda. No release details have been provided, but these projects will be available in theatres and on the JioCinema app.
According to Jyoti Deshpande, the President of RIL Media and Content Business, the Indian entertainment industry is currently in an exciting and transformative phase where storytelling takes center stage amidst digital disruption. Jio Studios has collaborated with some of the best industry professionals and newcomers alike to produce many content assets to be showcased to the world. The studio aims to deliver content that is culturally relevant and representative of India and Bharat while partnering with storytellers from every Indian language to take their stories mainstream.
